New Techniques

In the past year, I've been studying some new (or you might say, ancient), healing techniques.  I've reached the mastery level in Reiki and am now pursuing instructor level work.  I am also half-way through an advanced instructor and accreditation course with Accunect and will complete that in March of this year.

Reiki

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."  There's really not a whole lot more to say about this technique, because from there, of course, the possibilities are endless.  As I've learned more and more about how to use this technique in my healing work, I find it to be a very comforting force that works very well to smooth out the feelings and sensations that can come up in a healing session.  Often, I am compelled to use Reiki techniques (which look like holding my hands over parts of your body), at the end and at the beginning of healing sessions.  Because there is very little structure and lots and lots of intuition involved in this technique, I place it on the very most feminine side of the Sacred Approach continuum.

Accunect

The Accunect system, a bit over a year old,  is strongly rooted in divine feminine and traditional Chinese medicine.  It combines ancient wisdom and modern science to create a perfect storm for shifts in consciousness.  The process involves the practitioner following a map of potentials, determining the parts of the body ready to shift and tapping those potentials in.  It’s easy, fast and wonderfully satisfying.  This new modality is rocking the energy healing world, with miracles happening every day.  The founders of this technique, who are former BodyTalk masters, worked together to bring forth this wisdom using intuition and meditation. I love this evolutionary procedure and it's circular feeling.  I use it as the basic structure that informs my healing sessions.  For me, moving from BodyTalk to Accunect is similar to the process I went through as a computer programmer.  Originally, programmers used language that was linear, following a step by step approach.  Then, came new languages that were referred to as "object oriented", they were no longer linear, but multidimensional in nature and far, far simpler.  I'm very excited to be on the cutting edge of this new approach to healing and thrilled to be able to use all the techniques I've learned and will continue to learn in BodyTalk within this new context.
